All Umass students are welecome to join our club. The club is to attract students who are interested in the development of smartphone applications. Several interesting smartphone applications such as "Intelligent Campus Map" and "Mobile healthcare monitoring" are planned. The members of SAC are also encouraged to develop other great applications and get practical programming experience for Iphone and Android operating systems.

Android-based Smartphone Application Development . Android applications are written in the Java programming language. The compiled Java code is bundled by the AAPT tool into an Android package, an archive file marked by an .apk suffix. This file is the vehicle for distributing the application and installing it on mobile devices. All the code in a single .apk file is considered to be one application.
